EVERYONE CAN RECRUIT, even new recruits that join during the drive. Only officers can send an send an invite to our kin, but the recruiter gets the credit. Please send an in-game mail to Cegwyn with your recruit's name. I will keep track of it all.

Prizes:

1st place: 20g
2nd place: 10g
3rd place: 5g

Bonus 10g for the first to recruit 20 people. Seems like a lot but it's been done before, and on more than one recruiting drive.

1g to anyone that recruits 2 or more people.

Some substitute prize items if you want to mix and match your prizes...

  1. Symbol of Celebrimbor (5g).
  2. 20 Mithril flakes (5g).
  3. Guild-crafted items - Lothlorien cloaks, jewellery, weapons (2g each).
  4. Any suggestions???

Rules:

  1. No recruits under level 10 at the end of the drive.
  2. Send in-game mail to Cegwyn when you recruit so I can record your efforts.
  3. Contest ends at midnight (Pacific Time) on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 (but remember, you can still recruit people at any time on normal days too!)
  4. Recruits must still be in the kin when the contest ends.
  5. Alts are welcome, but they don't count for prizes.
  6. New recruits may also take part in the recruiting drive.
  7. Please make sure all new recruits know our philsophy, have them read the tab listed on our homepage.

And here are some tips for recruiting:

1. The #1 best way is to lend a hand! Help with questing, crafting, mats, etc. You can make lots of friends by taking time to help. Then just ask them if they're interested in joining a fun kin!

2. If you see someone that doesn't have a kin, say hi & ask if they're interested. This is esp. useful for lower-mid level folks.

3. It's okay to post to LFF/Advice/OOC channels, just don't over-do it. It can be useful when done in moderation. Try places other than Bree & Moria.

4. Think about how you were recruited! How did we appeal to you? What sets us apart? What things do you like about EE? Ex:
 -No dues
-Members from level 5 to 65!
 -Experienced, friendly, & helpful people
-Rank 10 kin (that's a year), with kinhouse in Bree

-THREE Kegs (Inn league Keg, Sinister Keg and Moria) at the kinship house! And a mushroom that makes you...well, spit out green stuff. How cool is that?

5. Most importantly, don't push! We do want new members, but not at the cost of having people dislike us! If someone isn't interested, just say okay and tell them to keep you in mind if they change their mind. You can even suggest that put you in as a friend, so that they can ask you for help in the future.

6. It may help to find out what the person wants in a kinship. This kinship is great for casual players who like to laugh and have fun as they quest. Be honest about what our style is. ("yeah we do the new 12-man raid every day" may get us a new kinnie for about 2 days at most before they go see elsewhere :P )

7. YOU decide if someone might be a nice addition to the kin or not. Don't invite someone that you have a feeling you won't enjoy questing with very much (though admittedly that can sometimes be hard to tell on a first impression). Do talk to the person a little before you invite them-if the only thing you said to each other was something like "wanna join a kin?" "yea sure" , you don't know very much about them...Most of all, we wish to keep a friendly atmosphere!

Recruiting Drive - March 18 through March 27, 2011

Recruiting drive time. Lex is once again sponsoring our drive. All Hail Lex!

First off...everyone can recruit! Only kin officers can send kin invites but the person that did the recruiting work gets the credit. If you find someone that is interested, ask an officer to send an invite. Don't forget to send an in-game message to Cegwyn so that your recruiting efforts are recorded (see below).

Next...Prizes:

1st place - 10 gold
2nd place - 5 gold
3rd place - 3 gold

*** For f2pers with gold caps, we will work something out for you. Right now I'm not sure what that is but let's toss out some ideas ***

The first recruiter to bring on 10 new members will get an additional 10 gold. Yes, first place + 10 recruits = 20 gold.
Anyone that recruits more than 2 people will get 500 silver (this is in addition to the 1st/2nd/3rd place winnings). So even if you don't get into the top 3 recruiters, you will still get some cash.

If you would like to substitute a crafted guild item (teal Lothlorien jewellery, cloaks, armour pieces, weapons), those would be counted as 2g...so 1st place can opt for 8g + Lothlorien Stalker's Cloak.

Rules:

1. No recruits under level 10 at the end of the drive.
2. Send in-game mail to Cegwyn when you recruit, and let me promote them from recruit to kinsman/kinswoman during that time. I will log all names when I promote them to keep tally.
3. Contest ends at midnight (Pacific Time) on March 27, 2011 (but remember, you can still recruit people at any time on normal days too!)
4. Recruits must still be in the kin when the contest ends.
5. Alts are welcome, but they don't count for prizes.

September f2p Recruiting Drive, 9/13/10 - 9/19/10

f2p has launched and I've seen places like Thorin's Hall, Archet and Bree bustling with people (the in-game filters cut off at 100 entries for these zones at various times). There's a lot of new blood out there that probably could use some help getting started.

So in celebration of our conversion to f2p let's have a quick, down-and-dirty recruiting drive.

Prize: 10 gold to the one with the most recruits.

Before you recruit, please explain to them our kinship rules. They can determine if their play style fits our kinship. Remember, we are all here to have fun, be helpful and respectful of each other!

Rules:

1. No recruits under level 10 at the end of the drive.
2. Send in-game mail to Cegwyn when you recruit, and let me promote them from recruit to kinsman/kinswoman during that time. I will log all names when I promote them to keep tally.
3. Contest ends at midnight (Pacific Time) on September 19, 2010  (but remember, you can still recruit people at any time on normal days too!)
4. Recruits must still be in the kin when the contest ends.
5. Alts are welcome, but they don't count for prizes.

6. New recruits may also take part in the recruiting drive. Yes officers are the ones that can invite but the one that does the recruiting gets the credit.
