Getting Started

New Members

If you're new to our kin, or new to our kin site, please begin by registering with Gamestreet here.
If you already have a Gamestreet account you can apply to join our kin by clicking here.

    • Within your newly created Gamestreet profile, click the link My Guild.
    • Click Find a Guild.
    • Click By Guild Name (using "Elrond's" is sufficient to find us).
    • Click Join Guild.
    • Please enter the name of your character in the text box and click Apply.
Recruits

Once you've joined our kin, you will become a recruit of Elrond's Enforcers. After several weeks you will be promoted to a kinsman/kinswoman once you get to know us and we get to know you.

On Being a Kinsperson

Elevation to kinsperson opens several features.
  • You can post items on the Auction House for the Kinship Only.
  • You become eligible to wear our kinship uniform.
  • You also gain access to the Kinship House Chests
There are 3 chests containing items that people donate for use by our fellow kinspeople. Feel free to donate items you feel can help others, or take items that you can use. We only ask that you do not resell items left in the chests. Feel free to sell items you craft from raw materials (IE gems you polish, ore you refine, armour you craft).

** Please note that if you are set to anonymous on my.lotro.com, we may request for you to briefly clear the anon flag so that we may take note of who you are. Elevation to kinsperson may be conditional on this request.

On Being an Officer
These are the requirements if you are interested in becoming an officer.

-Understand the kinship philosophy.
-Understand the recruiting process.
-Be active, helpful, and kind to all. If you craft, be willing to craft something for others.
-Not required, but interest in being in charge of something such as events or crafting is also good.
-Have enough knowledge of the game to answer possible questions by new players.
-Represent the kin in a respectable manner. Make us proud, and dont argue with other kins or players. You represent us, so remember that.
-Monitor chat channels, and report anything you find alarming to the lead or vp. (Use your own judgement there.)
-Register to the website.
-Have the thumbs-up from current officers (possible reasons for thumbs down can include officers feeling that we're not in need of new officers at the time even though the person has the right qualifications)
-Take the initiative yourself to ask us to become officer
-Inactivity for over 45 days with no explanation will result in being demoted to kinsman/woman.
