*** The current status of LoA.***
[Update 8/10/11] IGNORE THIS OLD NEW POST -
I'm simply keeping it for posterity in case people are curious about LoA's history.
The fact is that the current status of LoA is "alive and well", if somewhat behind in raid progress
Well, here we are 1 month later after I gave up Guild Master of Lords of Aggro because I needed a break from dealing with drama, and look how we're doing....
If you're reading this then chances are you're wondering what is up with Lords of Aggro and you probably weren't around when the guild literally died over night.
I will not name names, but the very short version of the story is that an Elder ranked individual /gkicked an Officer.
This particular Officer happens to be someone who had always tried to help the guild, other players, and was a good all around person.
The story and reason behind the kicking are not important (since it was all childish and immature behavior), suffice it to say that the /gkick was a really 'bad idea' and not warranted or needed. Just an example of someone wanting to flex their perceived power.
As you might expect, this instantly created negative backlash and another very popular Officer (who as far as I know is loved by everyone) promptly left the guild due to being fed up with watching the pointless and stupid drama unfold.
And it just snowballed from there.
Many of the people who left rushed to form their own NEW guild, which I don't necessarily think was a good idea, since I probably could have fixed the entire situation the next day when I got online.... however, if that's what they wanted to do, then you can't stop people from doing what they want to do.
That new guild is called <Incendia>, more on that later.
Currently I (Rancidpatty aka CP) have GM of Lords of Aggro again and will be keeping one character in the guild to maintain and manage it.
I love Lords of Aggro. I could write an entire paragraph about why I love LoA, and the many attractions it held as a guild.... but the bottom line is this - that is all gone.
Every reason I liked LoA is dead and destroyed.
So while the guild still exists, and may one day possibly be restored to it's former glory (if you think being a casual guild is glorious), there is currently NO REASON to be in Lords of Aggro.
There are litterally like 6-8 people in it MAX, who are not alts.
There is no raiding taking place.
There is no one to talk to in guild chat when you log on usually.
There is no feeling of commradery and friendship and the fun atmosphere that LoA used to have.
What LoA currently offers is...
a guild tag that has decent history (the guild is roughly 2 years old and did decent raiding for being a casual guild).
a guild bank with 5 tabs (a significant investment on the part of the guild members)
a guild web site that is still fully functional.
a guild video page on YouTube.
If this is all new to you and you want to find a new guild to be in now(which is understandable), I would strongly urge you to talk to someone in <Incendia>, a guild that is comprised of 80% former LoA members.
The other 20% found new guilds or splintered off and formed their own smaller guilds, that really are not much better off than Lords of Aggro.
Incendia on the other hand is currently raiding weekly, thus my recommendation.
Maybe one day for whatever reason the guild will have a lot of good people in it again and be something like it was from 2007-2009, but for now LoA is basically, and officially
dead
. :-(
I'm going to miss a lot of cool people.

Raider tag and system, & LoA Guild Leader
RAIDER SYSTEM
Due to numerous reasons that have been ongoing over the last 2 months which I will not list out here, I have decided to nullify the Raider system and the Raider ranks. Effective immediately.
Guild ranks have already been returned to normal (see guild ranks section for details).
ALL LoA raids are now using the LoA loot roll system that is posted in the forums.
I am leaving the Riader post up in the forums for the time being because we may revisit that system later on, and I'd hate to have to type up something like that from scratch again.
LoA GUILD MASTER
As of 12/3/09 I have stepped down as Guild Leader position and Tyler, the former Guild Leader (Strikker/Onebadmotha/Lunati) has taken over once again.
I needed a break from dealing with all the constant drama in the guild and feeling like I am not having fun when I log on to play a GAME.
Instead I felt like I was having to deal with a group virtual kids that I had been put in charge of.
Tyler offered to take the reigns back and deal with all the ridiculous behavior.
I will be concentrating on playing on my characters and doing whatever I want that I think is FUN, and probably not following guild chat closely. In other words, I'm on vacation.
If you have any sort of problem that is Guild Related, please take it up with Tyler first and foremost. If he is not online, and I am, then yes I will handle the situation as I see fit. If I am not online, then get an Elder or Officer to handle it.
I hope that everyone continues to enjoy their WoW experience in LoA and that people remain respectful and friendly. You may not know this, but LoA has a long history of being a great guild to be in, full of great people who are friendly and fun.
We're not an elite raiding guild, or PvP guild, but we have managed to do fairly well in those regards while avoiding the stress, attitude and problems of big guilds like that.
Please do not think that any of that will change just because of who the Guild Leader is. :-)

New Onyxia downed 9-22!!
After the patch Tuesday, and with the help of a couple of pug healers, LoA went in and 1 shotted the new Onyxia encounter on 9-22.
Excellent work guys!
No mount drop, but it looked like the lockout on this raid is only 1 day!
Plan on making this a raid to be farmed!

I was very impressed last night September 3rd when LoA went into the new 10 man raid and managed to clear the entire raid in one setting.

Freya Downed
This was a hard fought battle but on August 17th 2009, Freya was defeated by Lords of Aggro. Bastosa was able to walk away with a new tank helmet (go warrior pallys) and Brenee was graced with Tier 8 hands. All in all the encounter was fun but VERY technical. We all winded down after the bloodshed by fishing in one of the local pools. Grats LoA on this step towards clearing Ulduar
